Welcome to Baggie's, my name is Ella. My partner Mark and I moved to Singapore in 2016. Baggie's first came to be because we couldn't get quality biltong in Singapore, something we used to enjoy a lot when we were living in London. Neither Mark or I had a background in food, we had both been working in IT management jobs. Despite this we made our first ever batch of biltong in 2017 at our friends restaurant, and it turned out great, like really great!!
I remember walking back to our condo having just tried our first ever batch of biltong. I was babbling on about how great it was, and that we should start a business. I even named the business Baggie's Biltong right there.
From there we started making regularly for ourselves and our other biltong loving friends on the island. Due to the great feedback, and how busy we got making our biltong, we did indeed decide that we should open a store and have a crack at our own F&B business. A few months later we opened our first shop at the Fortune Centre on Middle road.
Up until the moment we tried our first batch of biltong, we weren't planning on starting our own F&B. But here we are, and we truly love what we do. We have shaped Baggie's based on the things that really motivate us, as well as our own personal values. Baggie's focusses heavily on the following:
High quality produce
Carefully produced, to delight our customers
Exceptional customer service
We respond quick, fix fast, and treat our customer like our friends
Carefully selected
