Baggie's Boerewors is made from a mix of quality beef and pork mince, with special boerewors spices, coriander, clove and pepper.
Boerewors originates from South Africa and the word Boerewors actually means "Farmers Sausage", traditionally the farmer kept the best quality meats and made sausages for his family. There are strict rules around labelling a product Boerewors as it must contain at least 90% meat, whereas other types of sausage contain less meat, and more filler!
We make our Boerewors sausage fresh in our butchery and deli, and pack and freeze them so you get the freshest possible product when we deliver. We portion these into 400g sausage singles, and 500g and 1kg spirals, as they are traditionally made in South Africa.
